Carpentry Second Year

First Quarter Begins September 13, 2010
Commitment: 14 Weeks/56 Hours

Students will learn to read commercial drawings then practice roofing with various materials; and install thermal & moisture protection.

Second Quarter Begins January 3, 2011
Commitment: 12 Weeks/52 Hours

 Students will practice exterior finishing; steel framing; drywall installation and finishing; and will review green building practices.

Third Quarter Begins March 28, 2011
Commitment: 12 Weeks/52 Hours

Students will practice installing doors and hardware, suspended ceilings, window, door, floor and ceiling trim and cabinet fabrication and installation.

  • Tuition: $850.00 each quarter
  • Required Books:
    • NCCER Carpentry, Level Two.
    • Carpentry by Koel (most current edition) and the accompanying workbook are additional textbooks required for all 4 years of the carpentry program.
  • Schedule for lab dates will be handed out the first night of class each quarter.
