Electrical 101

**CITC highly recommends that each applicant has at least one year of high school algebra with a 'C' or better, or one quarter of college algebra with a 'C' or better.

A math assessment will be given within the first 2 weeks of class. For students who score less than 70% it will be recommended that they take additional math classes at their local community college.

Students will begin with a review of electrical and jobsite safety, math and tools of the trade for electricians and trade terminology, a review of state laws for electrical certification - then move quickly into a review of electrical theory including Ohm's Law and a quick introduction to the NEC.
