Students will begin with a review of series & parallel circuits, electrical theory and associated math skills. Students then study Alternating Current theory including inductance, capacitance, and AC wave forms. Finally, students will do practical blueprint reading.
Students will continue with blueprint reading - then begin studying transformers and generators including power quality and related code. Students will also review NFPA 110 - Emergency Systems. Finally, students will review green building best practices and alternative energy sources.
Students will continue learning about the AC topics in 302 and will learn about vectors; capacitors; RC time constraints; impedence.
