Electrical Third Year

  • First Quarter Begins September 13, 2010
    Commitment: 13 Weeks/72 Hours

    Students will begin with a review of series & parallel circuits, electrical theory and associated math skills. Students then study Alternating Current theory including inductance, capacitance, and AC wave forms. Finally, students will do practical blueprint reading.

    Second Quarter Begins January 3, 2011
    Commitment: 12 Weeks/69Hours 

    Students will continue with blueprint reading - then begin studying transformers and generators including power quality and related code. Students will also review NFPA 110 - Emergency Systems. Finally, students will review green building best practices and alternative energy sources.

    Third Quarter Begins March 28, 2011
    Commitment: 12 Weeks/60 Hours

    Students will continue learning about the AC topics in 302 and will learn about vectors; capacitors; RC time constraints; impedence.
