Introduction to the NEC & RCW/WAC Rules

Winter Quarter 2009

Course Description

Introduces the general concepts for safe installation requirements found in the NEC and WACs, provides an understanding of how the NEC and WAC rule making process works, as well as how to navigate in each to find selected requirements. Also covers the basic purposes of bonding and grounding, AFCI, and GFCI protection required to provide electrical safety. RCW/WAC Rules and Regulations included in cost of course.

Classes that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements may be cancelled.

Note: Once on-line enrollment is complete, the CITC office will email a confirmation letter to the email address provided during checkout.  The letter will arrive via mail and contain all the pertinent course information, including class location and driving directions.

  • Required Book: Current 2008 NEC Code Book

Due to changes in the sales tax requirements in the state of Washington, CITC will no longer be providing code books for continuing education classes.  Check with your local bookstore or electrical supply store.
