Course Description

This course introduces students to National Electric Code articles relating to motors, motor controls and hazardous locations.  The course guides the student through practical exercises in selection and sizing of conductors, overload devices, short-circuit and ground fault protection, disconnects, motor starters and motor control centers.  Introduces National Electrical Code articles: 430, 500, 501, 502, 503, 511, 513, 514, 515 and 516.

Courses that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements may be cancelled.
