Design Bid of Electrical Systems

Course Description

The student will be able to understand the relationship between architectural, site, mechanical, and electrical prints to perform a design bid takeoff. Also covered are scales, symbols, one line switchgear, light fixture schedules, fault current calculations, light budget calculations as per the state of WA and minimum circuit heat calculations from the mechanical plans. RCW/WAC Rules and Regulations and other handouts included in cost of course.

Classes that do not meet minimum enrollment requirements may be cancelled.

Note: Once an on-line enrollment is complete, the CITC office will email a confirmation letter to the email address provided during checkout. The letter will be sent approximately one week before the class and contain all the pertinent course information, including class location and driving directions.

• Recommended Books: 2008 NEC Code Book.
• Required Materials: Rolling or architectural scale

Due to changes in the sales tax requirements in the state of Washington, we will no longer be providing books for continuing education courses.  Check with your local bookstore or electrical supply store.
