Building the People who Build the Northwest.
The Construction Industry Training Council shall recruit, train, develop and retain skilled labor for the Washington State Construction Industry.
We Build Relationships First, and then we Build Your Workforce.
In March 1985, CITC held its first class in carpentry with 26 students and 15 students on the waiting list. From that humble beginning, CITC has grown into a state-licensed, nationally accredited, open-enrollment construction training program for beginning and advanced construction professionals.
CITC's training programs currently serve more than 450 apprenticeship and craft training students, 2,500 continuing education students and 150 students taking part in commercial, industrial or pipeline skills assessments and performance verifications. Sixty-four students graduated in June 2005 with certifications from our electrical, carpentry, plumbing and heavy equipment operators programs.
